Ganesh Himal Trek

One of our representatives from Majesty Treks will welcome you at the arrival terminal at Pokhara International Airport and transfer you to your respective Hotel.

After an early morning meal, we set off on our major trip, taking local transportation out of the valley and north along the beautiful parkway. On crisp mornings, the scenery en route includes streams, terraced fields, towns, and views of the Alps. To Trishuli Bazaar, the underlying section of the route is moderately wonderful. The route soon becomes bumpy as it climbs to Kispang, today’s last destination.

From Kispang, we begin our ascent up the walking trail, passing through a vast expanse of fields and forests. It's an energizing and challenging first day as we climb through a beautiful field region, passing through ThuloKharka for lunch before continuing to Rupchet, an open region with nearby herder's safe houses where we can enjoy exceptional views of the surrounding domain and blanketed Himalayan peaks.

We start our walk from Rupchet making uphill, passing through late spring pasture terrain with wild ox, sheep, and cattle. Finally, we reach Singla Pass (4050 m), the highest point on our climb, which offers spectacular views of the surrounding region, including the Annapurnas, Manaslu, and the imposing Ganesh Himal to the west. From here, we traverse through more field meadows with breathtaking views, passing through thick forest with pine, rhododendron (pink, red & white), and oak trees, as well as an excellent waterfall and a religious community, before arriving in the fields of the charming houses of Tipling (2078 m).

Today's journey will be short and easy as we make our way to Shertung and Chalis Gaon (1800 m). We begin by descending through the tranquil jungle, across a river, and contouring to the beautiful settlement of Chalish Gaon, which is nestled in an exquisite environment. Shertung village lies about 100 meters above Chailsh Gaon at 1875 m, and these wonderful communities offer plenty of opportunities to explore or simply rest while taking in the breathtaking scenery of the surrounding farms and green valley below. Gurung, Tamang, and Dalit people primarily inhabit Shertung and Chalish Gaon.

We leave Chalish Gaon and start our hike all the way up to Neber, a beautiful Tamang town. From this settlement, you may get a close-up glimpse of the Ganesh Himal, which is spectacular. Then the trail passes past the charming village of Tir on its way to the welcoming villages of Rachyat Gaon.

Today we travel across a very interesting rural landscape. We continue to Laphchyat, a lovely Gurung community with over 30 houses. We trek up a beautiful shaded stone route that leads up the hill, followed by a long hike through the village's terraced hills. Finally, we arrive in Lapagaon (1850 m), a large traditional village with a river running through it and a vast playground on a plateau. Khading (2025 m), one of the main Gurung settlements in the region, is located above Lapagaon. The locals are kind, outgoing, and eager about performing cultural dances to traditional music.

Breakfast will be served at Khading Gaon, after which we will trek a short distance downhill before turning right into Chyamchat hamlet. The walk continues past small communities, paddy terraces, and jungle until it reaches Kutawal, where it will stop for lunch. Then we proceed on to Ri Gaon via Tawal. Ri Gaon is a big settlement populated primarily by Tamang and Dalit people.

Soon after breakfast, we proceed for a relatively easy hike. We will cross the paddy terraces to the more open valley after passing through many Brahmin and Dalit settlements. We finally arrive in Phulkharka gaon, which is home to a large number of Brahmins. We'll stop for lunch along the route and dine at a small guesthouse for dinner.

Continuing through rice fields, passing through a tiny settlement. We hike along the Ankhu Khola river, passing through a number of towns along the way. Our walk will be spectacular thanks to the lovely rice fields, terraces, and villages. We take a short pause near Rine for a dinner break before continuing to Jyamrung Durbar/Danda, a historically significant locality where the ruins of a centuries-old palace of the regional king can still be seen here. It is a fantastic spot to watch the sunrise and sunset, as well as the general mountain views of the Langtang, Ganesh, and Manaslu ranges.

We can enjoy the sunrise in the mountains, have breakfast, and walk for approximately 1 hour through Palpa Bhanjyang to Dhading Besi. It is a beautiful descent through a beautiful area of woods, abundant farmland, and quaint towns. On the way, we could have a peek at the stunning Dhading Besi. We can eat lunch here, then start our driving journey along Prithvi Highway to Katmandu.

Today is an extra day for resting or exploring some of the Kathmandu Valley’s iconic landmarks. You can also visit some massage centers and spas for relaxation and explore the markets to buy some gifts for your friends and family.

In the evening, you will be invited for the farewell dinner with Everest Alpine Trekking's Team at an authentic Nepali restaurant where you can have delicious Nepali cuisine with a cultural display.

With a bundle of memories and fun, the trip ends here. You will be transferred to the airport for your return journey to your home. We hope to hear from you soon!
